Spring Chef's Table Series at Briarwood

Spring Chef's Table Series at Briarwood

We are thrilled to kick off our 2020 Chef’s Table Series with the renowned chef, Jeff Olsson, of Industrial Eats and New West Catering. We hope you will join us for this special evening on Saturday, March 21st at 6pm. In order to keep these dinners intimate, seating is extremely limited and expected to sell out.

About Jeff & Janet Olsson, Industrial Eats, and New West Catering:
Located in between Los Angeles and San Francisco in the quaint town of Buellton, Industrial Eats quickly became a go-to stop for travelers along the coast, with many traveling just to eat at this renowned restaurant. Jeff and Janet Olsson opened Industrial Eats 15 years after they created New West Catering, with the mindset that they wanted to have a restaurant that they would want to frequent, and they do. They are almost always there, talking with customers, taking selfies with celebrities, and sitting down to meet, greet, and even eat with new friends. When you go to Industrial Eats, you plan to strike up a conversation while you watch the skilled chefs working with fresh, local ingredients, plating every dish with respect for the food.

Chef Jeff Olsson started cooking in restaurants at the age of 15 and later had the opportunity to learn under some of the nation’s most renowned chefs, including Mark Miller, Dean Fearing, and Bobby Flay. Locals may remember Chef Jeff as the Ramen King of Santa Barbara, but today he is the Chef and Owner, with his wife, Janet, of Industrial Eats and New West Catering. Jeff and Janet met when they both worked at Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill in New York. They then moved to Dallas where Chef Jeff worked with Dean Fearing at the Mansion on Turtle Creek. Afterward, they moved to Washington D.C. where Chef Jeff served as the Executive Chef at Mark Miller’s Red Sage Restaurant in Washington D.C. and later became the chef at Restaurant Nora, the first Certified Organic restaurant in the United States. Chef Jeff and Janet then decided to own their own restaurant and settle down in California. As the Executive Chef of New West Catering, he combines his affinity for fine dining with personally selecting and preparing artisan ingredients to achieve his emphasis on fresh and flavorful cuisine.
