Experiencing ‘14 Mad Crush is like sprinting through the memories of your childhood - you smell freshly baked cherry pie as it cools with faint wafts of cola, tasting the aroma of Grandpa’s vaguely sweet vanilla pipe tobacco as you burst through the porch door; caked in earth, light as a feather, carefree and truly happy. Mad Crush is somehow a marriage of opposites: it draws you in as your dreams run wild.

Tasting Notes
Bright notes of fresh cherries, dried cranberries, and orange zest are followed by layers of floral violet and lavender, sage and cedar wood, and a hint of black licorice. The interplay of fruit and spice continues on the palate joined by a lively acidity. Finally, the rustic structure of the wine carries it to a satisfying caramel finish that lingers and lingers. 561 cases produced.
Vineyard Notes
All grapes for Mad Crush were harvested over a two week period ranging from October 2 nd , 2014 through October 16 th , 2014
Production Notes
Fermented in a combination of 1-ton open top tanks and small stainless steel tanks following a five day cold soak. Open top lots were punched-down by hand 2-3 times daily and tank lots were pumped over twice per day. Lots were pressed off the skins after a total of 14-21 days of skin contact. Aging: 12-14 months post fermentation in a mixture of French oak puncheons and barriques (~30% new)
