Don't know which way is up? Clarity comes with warmth, but air does not.
Strikingly pointed, but whimsically delicate: Strata is brought back into the fold with balance and poise. The nose flashes loud candied raspberry and cherry notes while whispering vanilla, yarrow flowers, and sweet molasses and rhubarb. Along with the delicate notes persists a slate freshness that bridges the two polarizing aspects of the aromatics. The palate shows great evenness and balance as moderate acid coats the mouth start to finish while a firm mid-palate of tannin bridges the gap from start to finish. Flavors of water-drenched cranberries and boysenberries, along with more slate coalesce to create a fresh profile and a mouthfeel that brings the comfort of a warm summer evening. A true expression of the Willow Creek District, drink now through 2020.
