The ONX Estate Vineyard covers 127 acres in the Templeton Gap, a corridor where cool Pacific air funnels through the coastal mountains and drops evening temperatures by 40 to 50 degrees from the daytime highs. That temperature swing is one of the reasons Rhone varieties thrive here: the grapes ripen slowly, retain their acidity, and develop the kind of complexity that cannot be rushed.
The estate sits eight miles from the ocean at the edge of the Santa Rita Creek watershed, with soils that shift from calcareous limestone to clay loam across the property. Eighteen grape varieties and clones are planted across the blocks: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Tempranillo, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Picpoul Blanc, Grenache Blanc, Grenache Gris, and others. Some vines date back to 2005, when the Olson family first planted the property.
The estate is organically farmed.
Vineyard Experiences
Off-Road Vineyard Tour and Tasting
$45 per person | Complimentary for Collective Club members | Available Thursday through Sunday
The tour starts at the Tractor Shed, an outdoor patio overlooking Santa Rita Creek. From there, your host drives you through the vineyard blocks in a side-by-side off-road vehicle. You will stop at different points in the vineyard to taste wines right where the grapes were grown, with tastings along the way. Your host explains the soils, the elevation changes, and the farming decisions that shape each block from behind the wheel.
This is a small-group ride through a working vineyard with someone who knows the dirt. You are riding, not walking. Plan for about 90 minutes.
Celebration Add-On

Celebrating a birthday or anniversary? Add a celebration package to your vineyard tour. We will set up a banner at the Tractor Shed and end the tour with a gourmet cupcake and dessert wine pairing.
Vineyard Hideaway Picnic
$65 per person | $50 for Collective Club members | $30 per child
A private picnic in the vineyard, away from everything. Your group meets at the Tractor Shed and gets a ride by Kawasaki mule to one of several secluded spots among the vines. Waiting for you: a prepared meal, a crate of lawn games, and a self-guided tasting kit with four 100ml bottles of ONX wines (each kit serves two guests).
The picnic locations are chosen for their views and their privacy. Bring a hat, wear comfortable shoes, and plan to spend the afternoon.
Oasis Rental (Collective Members Only)
Available with a minimum bottle purchase based on group size
